Joseph Duggar is asking a Florida court to modify the no-contact order tied to his ongoing criminal case so he can communicate with his four children.

According to court documents, the former 19 Kids and Counting personality filed a motion on May 17 requesting permission to have contact with his “biological children,” whom he reportedly has not been able to speak with since March 31.

The current order prohibits Duggar from having contact with anyone under the age of 18 while legal proceedings continue.

In the filing, Duggar’s legal team argued that the alleged victim in the case is not related to him and claimed the restriction is “creating a hardship for the family unit.”

Joseph Duggar, 31, shares four children with wife Kendra Duggar: Garrett, Addison, Brooklyn and Justus.

A hearing regarding the request is reportedly scheduled for June 20.

Duggar was arrested in Florida in March and faces charges related to alleged inappropriate conduct involving a minor under the age of 12. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Meanwhile, Kendra Duggar was also previously arrested in Arkansas on separate charges authorities described as unrelated to the Florida case. Court records show her no-contact order was later lifted, allowing her to reunite with the couple’s children in April.

The Duggar family remains under public scrutiny as legal proceedings continue in both states.
