He was a rising music star with a million dollar career about to explode overnight. She was a 14 year old girl whose family spent months begging people to help bring her home.

Now prosecutors say the relationship between David Burke and Celeste Rivas Hernandez spiraled into one of the most disturbing celebrity murder investigations in recent years.

And the deeper investigators dug, the darker the timeline became.

According to prosecutors, David first met Celeste back in 2022 when she was only 11 years old. By late 2023, authorities claim the two had entered a secret sexual relationship while she was still just 13 and he was already legally an adult. Investigators later alleged they recovered text messages, explicit photos, and conversations discussing pregnancy scares, abortions, and emergency contraception from cloud data connected to David’s devices.

But at the time, almost nobody outside their circle knew how deep the connection allegedly was.
