Gregory Keyier-Deniro Davis, 46, was convicted in April 2026 of multiple charges, including first-degree murder in connection with the 2023 killing of 40-year-old Annie Namou, according to a statement provided to PEOPLE by the Oakland County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
He was sentenced on Monday, May 11.
The fatal shooting happened on May 20, 2023, in the parking lot of the dealership in Royal Oak Township where Namou worked at the time.
Prosecutors alleged Davis followed Namou to work and used his vehicle to trap her so she couldn’t get out of the lot, per a previous press release announcing charges
Eventually, she was able to get out of the car, and he shot her as she was running away from her vehicle to get help. He then shot her again at close range with a 12-gauge semi-automatic shotgun — an act the couple’s 10-year-old daughter witnessed from the passenger seat, PEOPLE previously reported, citing the release.

Davis then fired at additional individuals in the area after he shot Namou, according to prosecutors. Later that day, he turned himself in to authorities.
Davis was also found guilty of possession of a firearm by a felon, four counts of felony-firearm, and habitual offender—fourth offense, felony assault and assault with intent to commit great bodily harm charges involving other victims, the prosecuting attorney’s office confirmed to PEOPLE.
“I thank the jury for delivering justice for Annie Namou and her loved ones,” said Oakland County Prosecuting Attorney Karen McDonald following the verdict. “Children and women, like Annie, are too often endangered by intimate partners, and it is unacceptable. We will never forget her and never stop fighting for victims of intimate partner violence.”
