Lauren Boebert Speaks Out After Son Tyler’s Arrest on Child Sexual Exploitation Charges

Colorado Congresswoman Lauren Boebert has publicly responded after her son, Tyler Boebert, was arrested on multiple felony charges related to an alleged child sexual exploitation investigation.

In a statement shared with media outlets, Lauren said: “I love my son. We take these allegations very seriously and pray for everyone affected during this challenging time.”

 

Tyler Boebert, 21, was taken into custody in Garfield County, Colorado, on August 9 and later released after posting a $10,000 surety bond. Court records show that he is facing five felony charges, including child sexual exploitation to induce or entice, possession of material involving the sexual exploitation of a child, sexual exploitation involving video content, and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Authorities allege that the offenses are connected to events dating back to early 2024. An affidavit was filed on August 6, and an arrest warrant was issued the following day before Tyler was arrested.

His next court appearance is scheduled for August 19.

 

The latest legal troubles add to a series of ongoing cases involving Tyler. He is expected to be sentenced in September in two unrelated matters. One case in Weld County involves a child abuse charge from 2025, in which he pleaded guilty to negligence without injury, while another case in Garfield County stems from accusations involving vehicle trespassing and property theft.

Tyler is the oldest of Lauren Boebert’s four sons and became a father himself in 2023.

The arrest comes at a politically sensitive time for Lauren Boebert, who is campaigning for reelection in Colorado’s 4th Congressional District. The Republican lawmaker is expected to face Democratic challenger Eileen Laubacher in the upcoming election.

As the criminal proceedings move forward, Tyler Boebert remains presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
