Ohio ‘House Of Horrors’ Dad Accused of Exposing Himself 4 Times Outside Home Where 16 Kids Lived ‘Like Feral Animals’

In a 𝓈𝒽𝓸𝒸𝓀𝒾𝓃𝑔 case that has left a community reeling, Gary Siders II, 36, and his wife Elizabeth Siders, 33, were arrested on June 30 after authorities discovered 16 children living in deplorable conditions in their Hamden, Ohio home. The situation has been described by officials as a “House of Horrors,” with some children reportedly resembling “feral animals.”

Prior to their arrest, Gary faced multiple charges of public indecency stemming from incidents that occurred in May. Court records indicate he was charged with four counts for allegedly exposing himself outside his residence on May 23, 27, 29, and 31. The specifics of these incidents remain sealed, as Gary’s attorney successfully requested that all related court documents be kept confidential.

On the day of the arrest, law enforcement was reportedly at the Siders’ home to serve an unrelated summons when they became alarmed by the living conditions and the number of children confined to a single room. Within hours, authorities removed the children, ages ranging from 18 months to 18 years, with seven requiring immediate medical attention.

Ohio Attorney General Andy Wilson expressed grave concerns during a press conference following the raid, stating that had authorities delayed their intervention even slightly, the outcome could have been tragic. He described the children as appearing “covered in bugs” and having a distant look in their eyes, complicating efforts to assess the extent of the alleged neglect due to their limited ability to communicate.

In addition to Gary and Elizabeth, Gary’s parents, Gary Siders Sr. and Christina Siders, were also arrested on the same day. All four defendants pleaded not guilty to 16 counts of child neglect during their court appearance on July 1.

The judge set a bond of $300,000 for each, although one defendant was later released due to health concerns that required ongoing medical treatment.

Gary II was scheduled for a hearing regarding his public indecency charges on July 9, but his attorney successfully requested a delay. This is not the first time the Siders family has faced scrutiny; in 2021, they were charged with truancy after several of their children missed school entirely.

As the investigation unfolds, it has been revealed that none of the children rescued from the home were enrolled in school, and many in the community were unaware of their existence.
