Joseph and Kendra Duggar are making a significant change amid a difficult chapter for their family, listing their Arkansas home for sale as Joseph continues preparing for trial in his Florida criminal case. The decision comes only a few months after his arrest and follows growing legal and financial uncertainty surrounding the couple.
Real estate records show that the property, located in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, has been listed with an asking price of $407,900. The residence sits on approximately 1.14 acres and offers 1,738 square feet of living space, including three bedrooms. The home has served as the family’s primary residence, but its appearance on the market suggests the Duggars may be preparing for major lifestyle changes while Joseph’s legal proceedings continue.
The listing follows earlier reports that Joseph and Kendra had privately discussed selling the property during recorded jail phone calls after Joseph’s arrest. During those conversations, the couple reportedly considered whether selling the home would provide greater financial stability than keeping it as a rental property if Joseph were ultimately sentenced to prison. At the time, they weighed several options while trying to determine how best to support their family through an increasingly uncertain future.
Although neither Joseph nor Kendra has publicly explained why they decided to list the property, the timing has fueled speculation that the sale may be connected to mounting legal expenses or long-term financial planning. Criminal cases often bring substantial legal costs, and with multiple proceedings still pending, selling a valuable asset could help ease some of that burden.
Joseph Duggar was arrested in March after authorities in Bay County, Florida, accused him of sexually abusing a child during a family vacation in Panama City Beach in 2020. According to investigators, the alleged victim—now 14 years old—told police that the incidents occurred when she was only 9 years old.
Court documents allege Joseph repeatedly invited the girl to sit on his lap before later asking her to sit beside him under a blanket while the families were vacationing together. Investigators claim the child reported that Joseph touched her thighs and made inappropriate contact during several separate encounters.
Authorities have also alleged that Joseph later apologized to the girl and that the incidents stopped afterward. The investigation reportedly began years later after the girl’s father confronted Joseph regarding the allegations. Law enforcement has claimed Joseph admitted to inappropriate conduct during conversations with both the girl’s father and investigators before criminal charges were filed.
Joseph has consistently denied the allegations through his legal team and entered not guilty pleas to the Florida charges. Following his arrest, he was released after posting a $600,000 bond and has remained free while awaiting trial under court-ordered conditions.
His legal troubles extend beyond the Florida prosecution.
Just days after Joseph’s arrest, both he and Kendra were charged in Arkansas in a separate criminal case involving allegations of second-degree child endangerment. The Arkansas charges are unrelated to the alleged sexual abuse case in Florida, and both Joseph and Kendra have pleaded not guilty.
The simultaneous criminal cases have placed the family under intense public scrutiny while creating additional legal challenges that continue to unfold in multiple states.
The Duggars first became well known through TLC’s reality television series 19 Kids and Counting, which followed the lives of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar and their 19 children. Joseph later appeared on the spinoff series Counting On alongside several of his siblings before the family’s television career came to an end following earlier scandals involving his older brother, Josh Duggar.
Joseph married Kendra Caldwell in 2017, and together they have built a family with four children. Throughout the years, the couple cultivated a public image centered on faith and family life, frequently sharing milestones with supporters through social media and public appearances connected to the Duggar family.
That image has changed dramatically since Joseph’s arrest, with nearly every new court filing generating widespread attention.
The sale of the Arkansas home marks another major development as the family navigates an uncertain future. Whether the property is being sold to reduce financial obligations, relocate the family, or prepare for whatever outcome the criminal cases may bring has not been publicly confirmed.
For now, Joseph remains free on bond while awaiting trial in Florida, where prosecutors continue pursuing the charges against him. At the same time, both he and Kendra continue defending themselves against the separate Arkansas allegations.
With legal proceedings still ongoing and no trial verdict yet reached, the future remains uncertain for the couple. The listing of their home represents one of the clearest signs yet that the family’s circumstances have changed dramatically as they continue to face the consequences of multiple criminal investigations.
