Max Verstappen is soaking up every last drop of summer before the F1 engines roar back to life, and he just ran into a familiar face on the Portuguese coast. The four-time world champion was spotted vacationing with another rising star from the grid.
The Red Bull ace crossed paths with Arvid Lindblad, a driver for the sister team Racing Bulls, at the JNcQUOI resort near Comporta. Lindblad was hanging out with friends, including former F3 racer Matias Zagazeta, who shared snapshots of the meetup on Instagram.
It’s been a busy break for Verstappen, who has been enjoying family time with Kelly Piquet, their daughter Lily, and her other daughter Penelope. He’s even been seen relaxing with Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff and his wife Susie Wolff.
Next weekend, the Dutch Grand Prix in Zandvoort marks the season’s restart, and it could be the last edition for a while. Verstappen clearly isn’t wasting his downtime, but what’s really going on behind those vacation smiles?
