A North Carolina man has admitted to stabbing his girlfriend’s ex-lover to death outside a luxury Long Island yacht club, with prosecutors saying the woman cheered him on during the brutal attack.
Victor Panebianco, 32, pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter for killing 52-year-old Christopher Millwater near the Stony Brook Yacht Club on November 10, 2025, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office.
Authorities say Panebianco and his girlfriend, 33-year-old Kacy Corso, drove from their North Carolina apartment to Long Island with a plan to ambush Millwater at the yacht club where he was known to spend time.
The couple pulled into the same parking lot as Millwater, and Panebianco got out of the vehicle to approach him, officials said.
When Millwater tried to drive away, Corso reportedly crashed her car into his to stop him, according to prosecutors.
Millwater looked at Panebianco and asked, “You’re stabbing me?” before screaming as the knife went through his heart and lungs, court documents claim.
Corso allegedly watched the attack and encouraged her new boyfriend, shouting, “don’t believe him, don’t let him fool you,” prosecutors previously stated.
Panebianco then reportedly kicked Millwater in the head before getting back in the car and fleeing with Corso back to North Carolina, where they were arrested days later.
Police responded to a 911 call around 3:40 a.m. about an unconscious man in the parking lot of the upscale yacht club.
Millwater and Corso had been in a romantic relationship that ended, and she reportedly became increasingly hostile toward him, posting negative comments about him on social media.
Corso had moved from New York to North Carolina and worked as a DoorDash and Uber driver, according to police.
Panebianco is scheduled for sentencing on September 22 and faces 25 years to life in prison.
Corso also pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter on July 22 and faces seven years in prison at her sentencing on September 2.
District Attorney Raymond Tierney said the guilty plea does not erase the pain for Millwater’s loved ones but spares them a difficult trial while holding Panebianco accountable.
