THE vicious alligator that mauled a woman to death has been caught after the 13ft beast tore her arms off.
Brittany Clark, 31, died after being ripped to pieces during a visit with her boyfriend and roommate to Little Big Econ State Forest in Central Florida on June 28.
Following the horror attack, trappers killed two huge gators – one measuring roughly 12ft and the other 13ft – after finding them in the Econlockhatchee River.
Officials from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) said DNA taken from the larger 13ft beast confirmed it carried out the deadly mauling.
The DNA was tested at a lab in Gainesville, while the medical examiner also confirmed bite marks on Brittany’s body matched one of the two giant reptiles.
FWC officials said the investigation remains active, with more information expected once it concludes.
Construction worker Brittany had been cooling off in the river with her boyfriend, Chance Allison, and roommate Jayden Hernandez when disaster suddenly struck.
Her desperate partner fought to wrench her free as the monster clamped its jaws around her.
The reptile then dragged her into a savage “death roll”, while their dogs tried to fend off the beast from the riverbank.
A medical examiner’s report lays bare the terrifying final moments.
It reads: “While they were swimming an alligator grabbed [Brittany] by her arm and began the ‘death roll’.
“Her boyfriend Chance grabbed the alligator trying to get it to release her when it took them both underwater.”
Alligators and crocodiles use the brutal spinning technique to overpower prey before drowning it.
Chance managed to free one of Brittany’s arms “for a moment” before the beast clamped down on the other.
The report adds: “Chance attempted to bring them both to shore when the alligator finally let go and CPR was started on shore by her boyfriend, and 911 was called.”
A chilling 911 call captured the sheer horror as Hernandez screamed that Brittany’s injuries were “horrible”.
She told the operator: “One of her arms is completely off and the other one is like attached barely.”
She then begged: “Hurry… she’s losing a lot of blood… we need to stop the blood.”
Screaming and crying can be heard in the background as the trio desperately battled to save Brittany’s life.
Moments later, Chance shouted: “Both her arms, both her arms are off.”
When the operator asked where the other arm was, Hernandez replied: “Gone.”
Chance told the dispatcher he had managed to drag Brittany from the water with the help of a friend.
He said: “We’re far off the trail, we’re off of a little launch area by the river… We need help now!
“You may see a helicopter. If you see it, just try and flag it down if you can.”
Brittany survived the initial attack and was rushed to hospital, but later died from her catastrophic injuries.
In one of her final moments, Chance said Brittany asked him to care for her beloved German Shepherd, Hokie.
“It was one of the last things she said to me. I can’t recall anything else,” the heartbroken 30-year-old told The Post.
Brittany’s father, Robert, revealed he received a devastating phone call from Hernandez as his daughter bled to death.
He said: “They were trying to keep her alive and waiting for the authorities to show up.”
The semi-retired motorcycle technician said the family was already mourning the death of his 80-year-old mother, Barbara, when they were hit by the fresh tragedy.
Brittany’s older brother, Nick, remembered her as an “amazing person” who was always willing to help others.
He said: “She was an amazing person; she was nice and helpful with anyone that needed any kind of help.”
