King Charles III is reportedly proactively arranging accommodation within the royal grounds for Harry and Meghan when they return to England with their two children after four years.

According to People, King Charles III has offered Prince Harry, the Duchess of Sussex, and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, a stay at a royal residence during their planned visit to England next month. However, the Sussexes have yet to respond to this offer.
If the trip takes place, it will be Meghan and her two children’s first visit to Harry’s homeland since 2022. The Sussex family is expected to participate in activities marking the one-year anniversary of the Invictus Games Birmingham 2027.
A source told People that King Charles III has repeatedly offered his youngest son the use of royal residences whenever he returns to England. Previously, Harry declined to stay at Buckingham Palace.

Despite being invited to stay at a royal residence, the Sussex family will not automatically receive increased security. Security matters remain the responsibility of the Home Office. Since stepping down as a senior member of the royal family in 2020, Harry has lost the right to police protection funded by public funds and has been pursuing legal action to restore it.
There has been no official confirmation of a meeting between King Charles III and his youngest son’s family during the upcoming visit. The last time the two met was in September 2025 at Clarence House, when Harry returned to England to attend the WellChild Awards and events related to the Invictus Games. Their private conversation lasted approximately 55 minutes, marking their first face-to-face meeting in 19 months.

In an interview with the BBC last year, Harry expressed his desire to reconcile with his family. “I want to reconcile with my relatives. Life is precious. I don’t know how much longer my father will be with me,” the Duke of Sussex said, referring to King Charles III’s ongoing cancer treatment.
Prince Harry has also repeatedly affirmed that Britain is his home and an important part of Archie and Lilibet’s heritage, but he does not want to bring his wife and children back unless their safety is guaranteed.
