Joseph and Kendra Duggar Discuss Mounting Debt, Selling Property Amid Growing Legal Troubles

Joseph and Kendra Duggar are reportedly facing serious financial difficulties as legal expenses and outstanding bills continue to pile up amid multiple criminal cases involving the former reality TV couple.

Kendra Duggar and Joseph DuggarAccording to a recently revealed jail phone call, Joseph and Kendra discussed selling vehicles, trailers and other possessions in an effort to cover debts while Joseph was being held at the Washington County Correctional Facility in Arkansas.

During the conversation, Kendra informed her husband that they still owed money for recent construction work completed on their home. The couple appeared uncertain about the exact amount owed, with Joseph initially suggesting the bill was around $3,200 before Kendra explained that his brother, Jed Duggar, had been told the total was actually closer to $6,200.

The discussion also included additional expenses related to repairs on their damaged property. Joseph reportedly noted that they owed another construction company approximately $3,200 as well as $600 to a structural engineer.

As financial pressure mounted, the couple began discussing the possibility of selling off personal assets.

Kendra replied that the vehicle had already been placed on a sales lot. She also revealed that Jed was considering helping sell additional items, including one of Joseph’s trailers.

The father of four agreed that some of the equipment could be sold, noting that he owned multiple trailers and could afford to part with several of them to generate cash.

The phone call offers a glimpse into the financial strain facing the couple as they navigate ongoing criminal proceedings in both Arkansas and Florida.

Joseph Duggar was arrested in March after authorities accused him of inappropriate conduct involving a minor during a family vacation in Florida in 2020. He faces charges of lewd and lascivious molestation of a child under 12 and lewd and lascivious conduct by a person over 18.

Meanwhile, both Joseph and Kendra are facing additional charges in Arkansas, including multiple counts of second-degree endangering the welfare of a minor and second-degree false imprisonment.

In another jail call previously reported, Kendra admitted that the legal crisis had taken a significant emotional toll on her. She described experiencing severe anxiety, saying she often felt overwhelmed and struggled to eat following her husband’s arrest.
