Ray J reacted to his brutal knockout loss by implying the fight was supposed to be rigged and expressing frustration that his opponent didn’t follow the script. Following his second-round defeat against viral internet personality Supa Hot Fire at Adin Ross’ Brand Risk 14 event, a visibly dazed Ray J confronted his opponent in a post-fight interview.
Ray J directly told Supa Hot Fire, “Damn bro… like that? For real… that’s janky as f–k,” indicating he expected a pre-determined outcome.
Upset over financial losses: He heatedly complained about the unexpected loss of money, stating, “I don’t want to say too much because I don’t want to get nobody in trouble, but damn… we took an L tonight. You know how much money we lost? Wow… wow.
He repeatedly muttered to his opponent’s team that he “thought they had a plan” before leaving the ring.
The matchup took place on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. Though often promoted as a boxing match in headlines, it was technically an amateur Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) bout. Supa Hot Fire threw zero punches in the first round, leading viewers to believe the match was a skit. However, in the opening 30 seconds of the second round, Supa Hot Fire flipped a switch, unleashing a heavy combination that left Ray J with a noticeable knot on his forehead and dropped him flat onto the canvas.
The loss sparked widespread trolling across social media platforms like Instagram and Reddit, especially given Ray J’s dramatic pre-fight press conferences where he claimed he was “ready to die in the ring” following recent public scares regarding his heart health.
