Slim Thug says he’s staying completely neutral in the Drake vs. Kendrick situation — and honestly, his reasoning makes a lot of sense. While reacting to Drake’s new albums during a livestream, Slim admitted he hasn’t even finished listening to all three projects yet, but said he’s heard “some records” he likes so far. More importantly, he explained why he never chooses sides in rap beefs anymore.

According to Slim, too many people jump into other artists’ drama only to look “crazy” later when everybody becomes cool again.
He pointed directly at the situation involving Future and Drake, saying fans and rappers were quick to pile onto Drake during the tension, only for relationships behind the scenes to eventually shift again.
Slim said:
“I don’t pick sides. I want both sides to win.”
The Houston legend explained that he doesn’t personally know Drake or Kendrick deeply enough to start attacking one side over the other, adding that most rap beefs are temporary anyway.
He also reflected on his own history of feuds, saying many of the people he once had issues with are cool with him today. In his eyes, making money together and building relationships is smarter than destroying each other over ego.
As the livestream continued, Slim went even deeper, saying the older he gets, the more “weird” internet drama and nonstop arguing starts to look to him. Instead of feeding negativity, he says he’d rather fill his algorithm with motivational voices, comedy, positive conversations, and business-minded content.
At one point, he even described his mindset as operating with a “king spirit,” saying grown people should be above constant gossip, pointless arguments, and crash-out behavior that only leads to jail or self-destruction.
Rather than clout chasing or choosing teams online, Slim says he’s focused on growth, peace, business, and staying out of unnecessary chaos.
The reaction online has been mixed. Some fans are praising Slim Thug for sounding mature and grounded, while others feel staying neutral in hip hop debates comes across as avoiding accountability or refusing to stand on opinions.
Still, his overall message was simple:
Most beefs don’t last forever, but the internet remembers everything you said while emotions were high.
