Newly revealed emails from Josh Duggar are shedding light on the deep fractures inside the Duggar family following his federal conviction on child sexual abuse material charges.
According to reports, Josh sent an emotional email to his father, Jim Bob Duggar, just two days after being sentenced in May 2022 to more than 12 years in federal prison.
In the message, Josh expressed anger and disappointment over what he described as a lack of support from his own siblings during the 13 months following his arrest.
โI really don’t care what anyone thinks about me at this point,โ Josh reportedly wrote. โBut I would expect at least a little bit of respect as a human being.โ

The disgraced former reality star claimed only two siblings had contacted him since his arrest. According to the email, Jessa Seewald allegedly sent him one message, while John-David Duggar participated in a single video visit.
Josh reportedly told his father it was โshamefulโ that the rest of the family had remained silent.
He also drafted a separate message intended for his siblings, urging them to โexamineโ themselves and think about how they would want to be treated if they were the ones in jail.
Despite the tension, Josh said he still loved all 18 of his brothers and sisters โ including those he felt had hurt him.
Much of the email also focused on his wife, Anna Duggar, and their seven children. Josh described Anna as being โpractically a widowโ while he serves his sentence at FCI Seagoville.
The revelations arrive as the Duggar family continues facing renewed public scrutiny due to recent legal troubles involving Joshโs younger brother Joseph Duggar and his wife Kendra Duggar.
Josh is currently scheduled for release on February 2, 2033, after multiple extensions to his federal prison sentence.
The leaked emails are now fueling even more debate online about the Duggar familyโs relationships behind closed doors โ and whether the once-famous reality TV family is more divided than ever.
