A đ»đ¶đđ mug shot of Lil Durk is flooding social media, but don’t be fooledâit’s not the real deal. The image, which shows a bald man in jail clothes, is actually AI-generated, and sources confirm the rapper looks nothing like that right now.
The đżđŸđđ¶đ picture claims to show the Grammy-winning artist, whose real name is Durk Devontay Banks, behind bars. But insiders with direct knowledge tell TMZ that’s completely false. They say Durk currently has a short haircut, not the shaved head seen in the phony photo.
We also checked with the Metropolitan Detention Center in Los Angeles about the supposed mug shot. A spokesperson shut it down fast, saying, “Photos are not releasable.”
Durk has been in federal custody since his October 2024 arrest, tied to an alleged murder-for-hire plot. According to court documents, prosecutors claim he sought revenge after his friend King Von was fatally shot in 2020 outside an Atlanta hookah lounge.
The feds allege members of Durk’s crew later targeted rapper Quando Rondo in California in 2022. Quando survived, but his cousin, Lul Pab, was killed in the attack.
Durk has denied any wrongdoing and remains locked up in California while awaiting trial. We reached out to his reps about the đ»đ¶đđ photo, but so far, no response.
What other AI-generated hoaxes might be fooling fans next?
