Sidney Starr Denies Child Sex Abuse Allegations After Arrest in Georgia

Reality television personality Sidney Starr has publicly denied the serious criminal allegations against her following her arrest in Georgia, saying she intends to fight the case through the legal process and urging the public not to mistake allegations for facts.

The former Love & Hip Hop: New York cast member was arrested on August 2 in Hapeville, Georgia, and is facing multiple felony charges, including aggravated child molestation, sexual battery against a child under 16 and sodomy. Authorities allege the incident involved a minor at an Embassy Suites hotel. Because the case involves a juvenile, investigators have released few additional details.

In a statement provided to TMZ, Starr said she “unequivocally denies the allegations” and plans to “vigorously defend” herself in court. She also emphasized that public opinion should not replace due process and asked that her legal case not be used to stigmatize the transgender community, stressing that the accusations concern only her individual case.

According to jail records, Starr remains in custody in Fulton County as the case proceeds. Prosecutors have not announced a trial date, and no further information about the alleged victim has been released due to the person’s age.

Starr’s mother also expressed shock over the arrest, telling TMZ she was blindsided by the allegations and does not believe they reflect her daughter’s character. She said she is standing by Starr while the legal process unfolds.

Sidney Starr rose to prominence through appearances on Love & Hip Hop: New York and other reality television projects, later expanding into acting and social media. The criminal charges remain allegations, and Starr is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
