Amy Duggar King is facing criticism online after sharing a video of her husband, Dillon King, appearing to smoke and drink just weeks after revealing he had been hospitalized with what she previously described as “possible life-threatening medical concerns.”

Earlier this year, Amy disclosed that Dillon had suffered a severe diaphragmatic rupture, saying several of his organs—including his colon, small intestine, right kidney, and appendix—had shifted out of place. She asked fans for prayers as he recovered from the serious medical emergency.

The controversy erupted after Amy posted an Instagram Story showing the family having dinner on their patio. In the now-expired clip, Dillon appeared to be enjoying a steak, sipping what many viewers believed was an alcoholic drink, and smoking what some speculated was either a cigar or cigarillo.

The video quickly made its way to Reddit, where critics questioned why someone recovering from such a serious condition would be smoking and drinking. Many users accused Amy of sending mixed messages after previously emphasizing the severity of Dillon’s health crisis.

Some commenters mocked the couple, while others argued that regardless of whether Dillon was smoking a cigar or something else, it seemed like an unhealthy choice following his hospitalization.
