Where Is Diddy Now? Inside His Life Behind Bars After Being Convicted of Prostitution Charges

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs traded his spotlight-filled lifestyle for a very different kind of routine, and his life behind bars is nothing like what fans might imagine.

The music mogul started serving his 50-month sentence at a low-security federal prison in New Jersey back in October 2025, after being found guilty on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution.

He was acquitted of much more serious charges that could have put him away for life, so the four-year-plus sentence felt like a win for his legal team.

According to reports, Diddy specifically requested to be placed at FCI Fort Dix to stay close to his family and to take advantage of a 𝒹𝓇𝓊𝑔 𝓪𝓫𝓾𝓼𝓮 treatment program that could knock up to a year off his time.

Inmates have to qualify for the Residential 𝒹𝓇𝓊𝑔 𝓪𝓫𝓾𝓼𝓮 Treatment Program, and sources say Diddy has been participating actively.

He also landed a pretty coveted gig inside the facility: chaplain’s assistant. That job includes cleaning the chaplain’s air-conditioned office and keeping the religious library organized.

His publicist told CBS News that Diddy describes the environment as warm, respectful, and rewarding.

But Diddy hasn’t just been settling in. In December 2025, his lawyers formally appealed the prostitution conviction, arguing that the so-called “freak-off” videos were amateur 𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒏 protected by free speech.

They also claim the judge improperly considered evidence from charges he was acquitted of when handing down the 50-month sentence.

Meanwhile, Diddy reportedly asked President Trump for a pardon, but the president told The New York Times in January 2026 that he didn’t plan to grant one.

His release date has shifted multiple times without explanation from the Bureau of Prisons. Originally set for June 2028, it’s now moved up to February 23, 2028.

As of June 2026, Diddy remains at Fort Dix waiting for the appeals court to rule on his case. The courtroom 𝒹𝓇𝒶𝓂𝒶 is far from over, and his next chapter could still bring major surprises.
