NATURIST ASSAULT: N.a.k.ed cyclist kicked by two men on e-scooter while taking part in charity ride

THIS is the moment a naked cyclist is kicked by two men on an e-scooter while taking part in a charity ride.

The man, who asked to be identified as Mo, was left with bruises after the reported assault in Chelmsford, Essex, in June.

Footage shows Mo taking part in the charity ride, pedalling along a road in the nude.

Two men then ride past on an e-scooter before turning and coming back towards Mo.

Several other naked cyclists can be seen riding alongside Mo in the footage of the incident.

The pair proceed to kick the naked cyclist several times on the thigh as he rides along the street.

While lashing out at the cyclist, the e-scooter only narrowly avoids an oncoming bus.

The alleged assault took place as Mo took part in the Four Seasons World Naked Bike Ride event.

Held annually, the event is a protest against the “destructive elements” of car culture and a celebration of the bike and body, according to its organisers.

Essex Police said investigations into the reported incident are ongoing but that no arrests have been made.

It comes less than a year after leading naturist Robert Brown was punched off his bike by a binman who was later handed a suspended sentence.

Brown was cycling through Colchester, Essex, during a Four Seasons World Naked Bike Ride event in August 2025 when he was assaulted.

The group hold rides across the globe and Brown, the leader for the Clacton division, said he was “not a pervert” after the attack.

Binman Lee Turnage, 46, was handed a suspended prison sentence at Ipswich Crown Court for causing actual bodily harm for the incident.

Following the recent alleged assault, victim Mo said: “I was riding at the back of the group when it happened.

“Two guys on an electric scooter came up from behind, said something, passed me, then made a U-turn and came towards me, and the one on the back kicked me as they passed by.

“His foot hit the lower part of my thigh first, then slid all the way up to my stomach.

“Fortunately, because the impact was distributed across this wide area, the force was absorbed, preventing a severe injury.

“The attack left some red bruises on both the lower and upper parts of my thigh.

“I will not let violence like this stop me from participating in the protest.”

The College of Policing says naturists have a right to freedom of expression.

It is only a criminal offence if nudists commit a sexual offence or engage in behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress.

Outraging public decency only applies when a person’s behaviour is lewd, obscene or disgusting as to shock.

An Essex Police spokesperson said: “We’re investigating an incident in Chelmsford in which a man reported being assaulted in Duke Street between 4pm and 4.20pm on 20 June.

“At this stage, no arrests have been made and our work is ongoing.”
