A 22-year-old Wisconsin special education teacher already facing serious prison time for allegedly sexually abusing multiple students is now accused of preying on a third victim, a 15-year-old freshman, according to explosive new court documents that detail graphic TikTok messages and a disturbing pattern of grooming.
The case against Nadia Horn, a former teacher and assistant boys basketball coach at North High School in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, has escalated dramatically after police uncovered a third alleged victim while executing a search warrant on the social media platform TikTok. The messages revealed what investigators describe as a calculated effort to sexually exploit a child who was a member of the basketball team she coached.
Horn, who graduated from North High School herself in 2021, was first arrested in March after two students came forward alleging sexual abuse. At the time, she was charged with second-degree sexual assault of a child, two counts of child enticement, and sexual assault by a person who works or volunteers with children. Now, authorities say the digital evidence tells a far more troubling story.
According to the criminal complaint, the third victim initially denied any abuse, but after police confronted him with the TikTok messages, he admitted that Horn had sent him explicit images, performed sex acts over video call, and sexually abused him on multiple occasions. The abuse allegedly occurred between March 1 and March 25, the day of her arrest.
The messages themselves are chilling. On March 10, Horn allegedly wrote, “Well, damn. ” with a smiley face emoji.
Days later, on March 14, she messaged, “Uh, my FYP so good I shouldn’t want you as bad as I do. ” The next night, she allegedly wrote, “Gosh, I hope you know how much I crave you every second,” followed minutes later by, “You know how much I’m going to want you every time I see you now. ” Then, “Oh, expletive baby, the things I’d do.
”
Perhaps most damning, on March 16, a Monday during school hours, Horn allegedly texted the boy, “Baby, need you bad. ” Investigators noted that she was working that day and the student was in class. The complaint also contains references to her private area in graphic language too explicit to repeat.
In a message that prosecutors say proves she knew exactly who she was talking to, Horn wrote on March 14, “There’s not a lot of high schoolers that know high school musical, but I’m glad you do.” The boy replied, “Yes, ma’am.”
The pattern of grooming is consistent across all three alleged victims. The first victim, a 16-year-old, told police Horn bought him an iPhone 14 and would drive him around town. He said he found her behavior “odd and weird.
” Yet, he alleged that Horn brought him to her apartment, where they watched television, and she “continually got closer to him. ” He eventually told authorities they did “everything sexual you can do with a person. ”
The second victim, also 16, came forward after speaking with the first victim. Horn allegedly admitted to police that she had sex with him about a week before her arrest. When confronted, she told investigators that the student “really wanted it” and that the first occasion of intercourse occurred while the first victim was also present.
Police say Horn made a series of disturbing statements during the initial interview. When asked why she bought the first victim a phone, she claimed she was just helping him out. She said she got close to him because he needed support.
She admitted to having sex with the first victim three times and sending a selfie that morning that showed a pillow with the caption, “There’s room for you here. ”
When asked if she sent nude photos, she replied, “Potentially. ” She told investigators, “It just felt mutual and she didn’t feel like she was taking advantage of the victims. ” She also allegedly gave the boys wine at her apartment because they asked for it.
The new charges against Horn include repeated sexual assault of a child, use of a computer to facilitate a sex crime, and a third count of child enticement. She was initially released on a $15,000 bond, but her next court appearance is scheduled for July 28. Legal experts say the explicit TikTok messages make a conviction likely.
Former sex crimes prosecutor Dan Shore, who analyzed the case for Law–Crime, noted that the messages are “extremely reckless” and show a lack of awareness. “The fact that she was putting it so explicitly in messages shows almost a lack of a consciousness of guilt,” Shore said. “She was putting her career and her life in the hands of this ninth grader.
”
Shore emphasized that the age difference, while only a few years numerically, is significant developmentally. “A 15-year-old freshman is not capable of consenting to sexual activity with a 22-year-old teacher who holds a position of authority,” he said. “The law is designed to prevent that from being legal.
”
The school district has not commented publicly on the new allegations, but the case raises serious questions about supervision and policies regarding teacher-student communication. Shore noted that schools should ban any communication between teachers and students outside official platforms, especially during non-school hours.
Victim three told police that Horn was “too friendly” and overshared details of her life. He said she came to his house, brought him food, and allegedly sexually abused him after his mother went to sleep. Two other instances occurred in her vehicle, and a fourth at her home just five days before her arrest.
Police believe the alleged abuse occurred concurrently with the other victims, all within the same time frame in early 2025. The investigation began when a school official reported odd behavior – Horn buying a student a phone and driving him around town. What started as a boundary-blurring concern quickly spiraled into a full-blown sex crimes probe.
As the case moves forward, prosecutors are expected to argue that Horn used her position as a trusted educator and coach to systematically exploit vulnerable students. The defense will likely focus on the defendant’s age and the fact that she herself was a recent graduate of the same school.
For the victims, the ordeal is far from over. Shore explained that child victims often struggle with the prospect of testifying in court. “It’s very common for victims of sex abuse not to want to testify, whether they’re adults or children, but certainly when they’re children, there’s even more heightened embarrassment and fear,” he said.
He predicted that the strength of the evidence, particularly the TikTok messages, could lead to a plea bargain rather than a trial.
Horn remains free on bond pending her July 28 court date. The case has sent shockwaves through the Eau Claire community, where many knew Horn as a former student and young teacher. The mug shot from her March arrest shows a woman who appears to realize the gravity of her situation – a situation that has only grown more serious with each new allegation.
As one law enforcement official put it, “This is a case of a teacher who crossed every line, and now she will have to answer for it in a court of law.”
