The 2026 BET Awards officially kicked off with a star-studded red carpet as some of the biggest names in music, film, television and sports arrived at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. Hosted by comedian Druski for the first time, the annual ceremony celebrated Black excellence while delivering plenty of unforgettable fashion moments.
Leading the night’s arrivals was Cardi B, who entered the ceremony with six nominations and later took the stage as one of the evening’s performers. Other celebrities turning heads on the carpet included Janet Jackson, Jamie Foxx, Queen Latifah, Lizzo, Keke Palmer, T.I., Chloe Bailey, Coco Jones, Common, Rick Ross, Bow Wow, Latto and many more.
Fashion once again took center stage, with celebrities showcasing everything from dramatic couture gowns and bold tailoring to shimmering sequins, statement accessories and eye-catching designer ensembles. The red carpet reflected the creativity and individuality that have become synonymous with the BET Awards.
The evening also celebrated several major milestones. Lauryn Hill received the inaugural Living Legend Icon Award, while Teyana Taylor was honored as the first-ever BET Icon of the Year. The ceremony featured performances from Cardi B, Doechii, Queen Latifah, Kehlani, Don Toliver, RAYE and several other artists.
