‘All My Children’ Star Makes Emotional Return With Devastating Health Update Years After Walking Away From Hollywood

Soap star Marcy Walker is dealing with a serious health issue, according to a GoFundMe that’s been created for the beloved “All My Children” actress.

The GoFundMe didn’t reveal Walker’s ailment, but noted that financial support for the 64-year-old star “is urgently needed.”

“Today, Marcy needs our help,” the fundraiser’s page reads. “While she has spent years giving her time, energy, and heart to others — both as an actress and later through her dedicated ministry and community work — she is currently navigating an ongoing health issue where financial support is urgently needed.”

Walker’s ailment wasn’t revealed on her GoFundMe page, but the fundraiser noted that all the money raised would go directly to her to cover her medical bills and personal expenses. She’s pictured here in 1991.

According to the GoFundMe, the money raised will go directly to Walker to help cover her essential living, medical, and personal expenses.

Walker’s “Santa Barbara” co-star A Martinez — who played her love interest in the ’80s soap — shed light on her illness last month, before they reunited for a special livestream event that took place on June 7. In an Instagram video, Martinez explained why fans were being charged starting at $50 for the two-hour virtual event, which featured him and Walker reminiscing about their time playing couple Eden Capwell and Cruz Castillo.

All of the proceeds from the event went directly to Walker to cover medical bills.

Martinez explained that a livestream event held on June 7 featuring him and Walker reuniting was charging fans because the money was going directly to Walker to cover medical bills. The co-stars are pictured here in 1991.

“Some folks have expressed disappointment over the cost,” Martinez said. “Now, out of respect for my partner’s privacy, I did not speak to the reasons for the fee when I first posted.”

“The fact is, Marcy has been ill and is working hard to get well,” he continued. “And in the process, has come face to face with the financial challenges that so often plague those of us unlucky enough to need serious medical care in our country. She is in that need.”

Martinez, 77, noted that the event would support Walker in a “personal” and “highly memorable” way.
