The Duggar family continues to be in turmoil as Kendra Duggar puts her Arkansas home up for sale while her husband, Joseph Duggar, is preparing to stand trial on child sexual abuse charges that could result in a life sentence if convicted.

According to real estate records, the approximately 1,738-square-foot, three-bedroom, two-bathroom home in Siloam Springs is listed for sale at nearly $408,000. Notably, the sale wasn’t an impulsive decision. In a March phone call from jail, Kendra and Joseph discussed whether to sell the property or retain it for rental income to ensure Joseph’s continued imprisonment.
Joseph Duggar was arrested in March after being accused of sexually harassing a nine-year-old girl during a family vacation in Florida in 2020. He has denied all charges and pleaded not guilty. However, the situation quickly escalated as he faced numerous legal restrictions, including restrictions on contact with minors without supervision.
Not only Joseph, but Kendra was also caught up in the legal turmoil. She was previously arrested in Arkansas on charges related to child welfare and unlawful imprisonment, although these charges were reportedly separate from her husband’s case. Both have pleaded not guilty and will appear in court again in the near future.
Financial difficulties appear to be weighing heavily on the family. Previous reports indicated that Kendra had been considering selling personal belongings, converting some properties into rental properties, and finding ways to cover the $600,000 bail and rising legal costs.
Meanwhile, a Florida judge recently denied Joseph’s request for unsupervised access to his four children. While he is still allowed to see them under supervision, this decision highlights the growing legal hurdles facing the former reality TV star.
From a family known for its traditional image and large children on television, the Duggar family is now facing the darkest period in their history. Kendra’s sale of the house may only be the first step in a larger series of changes, as Joseph’s future still depends on the upcoming trial and the final verdict of the jury.
