“I was anxious to pick up the phone,” Kendra reportedly said during the conversation, adding that her anxiety had reached “a whole other level.”

The 27-year-old mother of four explained that her emotions were unpredictable, describing how she could feel fine one moment and completely overwhelmed the next.

“At one moment I could be fine, and the next minute I could be absolutely beside myself,” she said.

She recalled one particularly difficult evening when she felt herself “spiraling downhill” before receiving support from Joseph’s mother, who brought her food and prayed with her.

During the conversation, Kendra admitted that she found it difficult to be alone while coping with the family’s legal troubles.

“I think that I can’t be by myself for too long,” she reportedly told Joseph, explaining that she felt more comfortable when surrounded by family members and loved ones.

Joseph, 31, responded by offering words of encouragement and telling his wife that he had been praying for her strength and well-being.

The couple ended the call by expressing their love for one another.

Joseph Duggar was arrested in March 2026 and later extradited to Florida, where he faces charges of lewd and lascivious molestation involving a child under the age of 12 and lewd and lascivious conduct by an adult. He has pleaded not guilty to the allegations.

Authorities allege the incidents occurred during a family vacation in Panama City Beach, Florida, in 2020. Following his initial court appearance, Joseph was released on a $600,000 bond under strict conditions, including an order prohibiting unsupervised contact with minors.
