Anthony Joshua has lashed out at Tyson Fury after his rival reminded him of his KO defeat to Daniel Dubois.
Joshua and Fury have been going back and forth in a fierce rivalry for over a decade during their rises in the heavyweight division.
The pair finally look set to meet in a blockbuster clash having signed to face each other after respective warm-up fights in the final quarter of 2026 on Netflix.
As most predicted, the verbal barbs have already begun.
Fury made the latest move as heĀ took aim at JoshuaĀ after Dubois’ victory overĀ Fabio Wardley, who managed to stay on his feet.
The Morecambe native pointed out that Dubois floored AJ multiple times during his stunning 2024 defeat.
But now Joshua has clapped back at Fury, suggesting his rival is more focused on him than his own business.
He told reporters: “I just felt like, as a boss, you canāt ride the next manās success. Itās Duboisās success.
“How are you sitting there thinking that, because Dubois had success, āYeah, thatās what part of what Iām doingā?
āIt shows the type of mentality that he has. Thatās not a boss; a boss is gonna create his own lane and talk about what heās done and what heās achieved.
āWe could all talk about what [Francis] Ngannou done to him, we can talk about what Usyk done to him, we can talk about loads of comparisons.
“But for him to talk about Duboisā success and use it as his own, shows me that heās a d**k-rider.ā
Joshua ready to move forward to Fury
Although the warfare over social media has already begun, it will be a wait before he can lay his gloves on Fury.
Joshua will be the first to return to the ring in a tune-upĀ fight against unknown entity Kristian Prenga.
He is expected to taste victory before turning attention to Fury.
And in an update provided to talkSPORT, Joshua insists he is ready for a big 2026 after personal turmoil.
He said: “Bring on Prenga, and Fury as well.
“I’ve happily signed the contract, I saw it was a two-fight deal and it was presented with the Fury fight.
“They told me when I beat Prenga, it would beĀ Tyson Fury. But it’s no problem to me, and there’s no pressure.
