Megan Thee Stallion has secured a major legal victory after a federal judge reinstated a jury’s defamation verdict against blogger Milagro Gramz and awarded the rapper $75,000 in damages.

The case centers around statements made online by Milagro Elizabeth Cooper, known publicly as Milagro Gramz, following the 2022 criminal conviction of Tory Lanez in connection with the 2020 shooting involving Megan Thee Stallion.

Jurors previously found Gramz liable on multiple claims, including defamation, intentional infliction of emotional distress and promotion of an altered sexual depiction.

Judge Altonaga later reconsidered that issue and ruled that the trial evidence did not support protections typically granted to media defendants.

According to the ruling, the court found that Gramz allegedly worked closely with individuals connected to Tory Lanez’s legal team during the period the statements were made.

The judge stated that evidence showed Gramz received payments, obtained information ahead of other outlets and shared materials connected to the criminal defense effort.

As part of the amended judgment, Megan Thee Stallion was formally awarded $75,000 tied to the jury’s findings.

The court noted that additional requests for attorney’s fees and legal costs could still be addressed following any post-trial motions or appeals.

The legal battle has attracted major public attention due to the ongoing fallout surrounding the highly publicized Tory Lanez shooting case and the intense online commentary that followed.
