The Mutant (2026) is a Chinese post-apocalyptic science fiction action film, scheduled for digital and DVD release in Beijing through distributor Cleopatra Entertainment on August 25, 2026. The film is considered by American critics to be a blend of the styles of two classics, The Terminator and Mad Max.

The film is set in 2150, when mutated artificial intelligence (A.I.) systems rise to control humanity, bringing human civilization to a standstill. Amidst a desolate world teeming with brutal killers, a small group of survivors must band together to fight against the robot onslaught and reclaim humanity’s survival.
