The film tells the inspiring true story of British boxer of Yemeni descent, Naseem “Naz” Hamed (played by Amir El-Masry), from a poor boy to a world boxing champion. Set in the 1980s and 1990s, the film depicts a time when he faced a wave of racism and Islamophobia in Britain.

The former James Bond star delivers a stunning physical transformation to play Brendan Ingle – a steelworker and legendary Irish boxing coach. Ingle discovered, guided, and ran a humble boxing gym in a church hall in Northern England, playing a crucial role in making Naz a global sporting icon.
