In a heartbreaking turn of events, Nancy Guthrie, the beloved 84-year-old mother of “Today” co-host Savannah Guthrie, has now been missing for three months following a suspected abduction from her long-time home in the Catalina Foothills, north of Tucson, Arizona. Local authorities are intensifying their efforts, stating that the search for Nancy remains “active and ongoing.”
The Pima County Sheriff’s Department is urging anyone with information about Nancy’s case to step forward. A spokesperson emphasized the importance of community involvement, saying, “Anyone with information related to the Nancy Guthrie case is encouraged to come forward. Additional footage from her home security system detected movement outside at 2:12 a.m., although investigators were unable to retrieve any video from that moment. After weeks of investigation, the FBI finally received a hair sample from the crime scene, which had been sent to a forensics lab in Florida. Experts have indicated that further testing could take considerable time, potentially weeks or even months.
