A self described “anti woke” MAGA influencer and her boyfriend are now facing criminal charges after authorities say a disturbing confrontation inside a London subway station turned into an alleged racially motivated attack.

According to British Transport Police, conservative influencer Melissa Rein Lively and her boyfriend Philipp Ostermann were charged following an incident that allegedly happened at Bond Street Underground station in October 2025. Investigators say the confrontation began after a stroller accidentally collided with another woman while families were moving through the crowded station.

But authorities claim the situation escalated fast.

Police allege Ostermann shouted racial abuse toward the family while Lively allegedly grabbed one woman by the hair during the altercation. Investigators also say Ostermann pulled out what he claimed was pepper spray and sprayed it toward the victim and her family, which included young children.

The alleged victims later reported the incident as racially motivated, triggering a larger investigation by British Transport Police. Surveillance images of the couple were eventually released publicly while investigators worked to identify them.

Now both are officially facing charges in the United Kingdom.

Authorities say Lively, 40, has been charged with assault by beating, while Ostermann, 37, faces two racially aggravated public order charges along with another public order offense. The pair are expected to appear in court at Westminster Magistrates’ Court.

The case has exploded online partly because of Lively’s controversial public image. She previously gained attention as a pro Trump influencer and founder of the PR company “America First PR.” She had also publicly claimed she was close to becoming a White House press secretary candidate during Donald Trump’s political circle.

Social media reactions have been intense, with many people stunned by the allegations involving racial abuse and violence against a family with children present. Others questioned whether political extremism and online culture are increasingly spilling into real life confrontations. 👀

Neither Lively nor Ostermann had publicly commented on the charges at the time reports were published. The investigation remains ongoing.
